It was another high impact & entertainment filled event at the fabled Texas Motorplex last weekend.

After hosting the largest Funny Car event in over 50 years during March of 2021 — the 2022 Funny Car Chaos series season opener was another rousing success story.

The race format, first conceived and presented by Chris Graves – saw in total 57 cars make qualifying attempts for the Funny Car Chaos Classic event while chasing placements within four FC class groupings (A-B-C-D) and over $60,000 in total prize money offered.

The A-B-C-D fields, which included machines fuelled by nitro or alcohol and racing within a 1/8th mile basis, saw fierce competition, and it was Lyle Greenberg, Donald Knoblauch, Clay Cunningham and Steve Timoszyk who scored wins in those respective classes.
