Headlining at Canadian Nitro Nationals!

Todd Lesenko and the Worsham Racing team were in the spotlight when they headlined the Professional racing program during the  Canadian Nitro Nationals held at Cayuga Dragway (Toronto Motorsports Park) last weekend.   That 4th annual event has evolved into what is arguably the most prestigious independent event of the season in Canada featuring great race car participation and a truly overflow crowd.

Todd was driving the Fountain Tire sponsored Dodge Charger and Grant Downing was behind the wheel of the team’s CN-sponsored Dodge Charger.  The duo went head to head twice at the event on Saturday night and ended up with a split decision with each driver earning a round win.

Todd Lesenko welcomed and hosted a number of guests from his new primary sponsor CN who were in attendance.   Both CN mechanical personnel and management got to watch the action and also received a intimate close up view of all the hard work involved in preparing and servicing the cars in the pit area.

CN guests received a close up look at all the workings of racing a fuel Funny Car.

“Del, Grant, Chuck and I we were very pleased to come to Eastern Canada to race together for the first time and it was great to have all those CN people as our guests,” said Lesenko.  “The response we got from the Ontario fans was really something too.   That was a huge crown and we had a truly great time.”

It was one win each for the “Canuck” and the “Kiwi”
