Jim Dunn Racing Going Green……Again!

 The term “going green” typically implies an environmentally healthy approach to things, and for the Jim Dunn Racing NHRA Funny Car team that definition rings true on multiple levels.  At the most recent NHRA national event in Charlotte, Jim Dunn Racing added Eco-Absorb as a new sponsor, and subsequently entered a green Dodge Funny Car in the race to share the message.  The team and the manufacturer of the super absorbent spill clean-up products are continuing their successful program in Dallas during the NHRA AAA Texas Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex. 

Having suffered two catastrophic engine failures at the NHRA U.S. Nationals over the Labor Day weekend, Jim Dunn Racing took Friday of the Charlotte race to go through the engine and electronics system thoroughly before qualifying for the race. 

Jim Dunn Racing team manager, Jon Dunn, noted that the Charlotte race was a breath of fresh air, welcoming in another new sponsor and getting the car back on track, literally and figuratively.  “There were a lot of rewarding things for Jim Dunn Racing at the Charlotte NHRA race” Dunn said.  “As a team we came out of that race with a new sense of confidence and showed improvement on the track every time we ran the car.  The Texas Motorplex has been a good track for our team, and we are very excited to have Eco-Absorb with the Funny Car team again this weekend.”

Eco-Absorb experienced a significant amount of inquiries for their product during the Charlotte race through their website www.eco-absorb.com, as well as people stopping by the race team trailer to talk to the owner of the company.   Dunn added “Fans can come by the Jim Dunn Racing trailer anytime to see the team work on the Funny Car and learn more about Eco-Absorb and all of the different type of spill clean-up products they make.  The NHRA is all about direct interaction between the race teams and the audience, and we hope as many fans stop by our pit area as possible”
