Racing in the Land of 10,000 Lakes!

Todd Lesenko ran for the first time in his career at scenic Brainerd International Raceway in central Minnesota during the NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals held there.   The car did run a pretty decent 4.230 secs at 285. 95 mph on Friday but that run ultimately did not count because of NHRA’s provisional format which carries over and counts only the top 12 runs into Saturday.   The team was disappointed by not qualifying — however everyone will now turn to and focus attention on making the field at drag racing’s ultimate annual attraction — the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis.   That marquee event begins August 29th with the first round of qualifying for the fuel cars under the lights on Friday August 31st……..(BB)
