Best Qualifier of the Season!

Todd Lesenko and the Jim Dunn Racing team ended a frustrating string of non qualified events with their strongest qualifying effort of the season during Norwalk Ohio’s Summit Racing Equipment Nationals….

The NHRA event held at fabulous “House that Bader built”  Summit Motorsport Park, featured some extremely hot track and atmosperic conditions especially during qualifying rounds.

Todd drove the Grime Boss/Tap It Brewing Dodge Stratus to a 4.203 secs at 295.66 mph — his best run of the season so far — to put that machine into Sunday’s eliminations in the #11 slot.

Todd raced fellow rookie of the year candidate Courtney Force in round one and did jump out to a significant starting line advantage over Courtney only to have the car strike the tires at about the 330 foot mark.   Todd peddled the car, but his recovering 5.023 secs proved to be no match for Courtney’s winning 4.166 secs at 304.80 mph driving the Traxxas-sponsored Ford Mustang.
