A very cool and very competitive Can-Am rivalry between two area Funny Cars has become an extremely popular fan attraction at Ontario drag strips.

Matches between the very formidable cars campaigned by Gary Kraus (Pony Up Mustang) and Doug Cadman (Chi-Town Hustler Charger) have now become somewhat of a stable at both Grand Bend Motorplex and Cayuga Dragway (TMP) over the past couple of seasons.

Last weekend during Grand Bend’s Stratford Spectacular event that rivalry was renewed when the two cars went head-to-head yet again.  This time it was Kraus’s Western NY based machine winning over Cadman’s car (driven by Todd Paton) 2-1.

“We lost 2 out of 3 races, however, we won 2 out of 3 the month before at Cayuga’s Nitro Nationals,” said Chi-Town car owner Doug Cadman.  “So I guess that makes us even this year.”
