the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series organisation had previously announced, that for any Fuel FC driver able to <em>sweep all three<\/em> of the IHRA Triple Crown races \u2014 held between facilities at Darana Raceway (Hebron Ohio) and Darana Raceway (Maple Grove Pennsylvania )events &#8211; that extreme payout would be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first leg of that occurred last weekend in Ohio where Paul Lee &#8211; in his first time IHRA event appearance this season &#8211; emerged a winner and thus is now the only driver in contention for that ultimate prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lee, who is from Anaheim CA., raced his PowerEdge-presented Dodge Charger to victory, topping IHRA season regular Del Worsham in the final round: running 3.973 secs at 326.32 mph to Del\u2019s 4.018 secs 323.04 mph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/DSC_8788-e1782112251502.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/DSC_8788-1024x819.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7678\" width=\"510\" height=\"407\"\/><\/a><figcaption>California&#8217;s <strong>Paul Lee <\/strong>put himself into some serious spotlight contention &#8211; after winning the IHRA&#8217;s first ever Triple Crown event.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/I4A1144-e1782183579114.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/I4A1144-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7687\" width=\"470\" height=\"587\"\/><\/a><figcaption>Paul Lee<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/25_ihra_logo_200x180.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"180\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/25_ihra_logo_200x180.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7214\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul Lee had qualified #5 and had outrun Jon Capps and Joe Haas in rounds one and two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Funny Car class saw a healthy 14-cars attempt to make the show producing a stout bump of 4.124 secs with all the 8 qualifiers grouped within .16 of a second (from 1 thru 8) and with all of them over 300 mph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eliminations opened with arguably the event\u2019s biggest upset when in the first round it was Joey Hass defeating #1 qualifier Dale Creasy (3.962 secs) by a 4.182 to 4.216 secs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/DSC_8827-e1782112241371.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/DSC_8827-e1782112233172-1024x706.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7679\" width=\"504\" height=\"348\"\/><\/a><figcaption><strong>Del Worsham <\/strong>&#8211; advanced to yet another final round within IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series event racing.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>All eyes will now be on Paul Lee \u2014 who will have his opportunity to cash in \u201cbig time\u201d during the IHRA\u2019s Triple Crown \u201cdouble race weekend\u201d \u2014 which happens at Darana Maple Grove &#8211; mid September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That IHRA Triple Crown event(s) schedule will see qualifying on Thursday, Sept. 10, with eliminations on Friday, Sept. 11 with the second Triple Crown race having qualifying on Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by eliminations on Sunday, Sept. 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Posted with files by Bruce Biegler &amp;
