{"id":6591,"date":"2025-04-01T05:53:09","date_gmt":"2025-04-01T05:53:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=6591"},"modified":"2025-04-01T06:00:02","modified_gmt":"2025-04-01T06:00:02","slug":"top-echelon-team-milestone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=6591","title":{"rendered":"Top Echelon Team Milestone"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During NHRA&#8217;s Lucas Oil Winternationals &#8212; Jack Beckman handed John Force Racing its 300th Funny Car win after he went 4.015 at 302.88 in his PEAK Chevrolet Camaro SS to knock off Daniel Wilkerson in a historic championship round at the legendary facility \u2013 and the home track for JFR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the 38th career win for Beckman, who replaced Force after his crash last year and Beckman has won the last two races &#8212; both in Pomona.<br>&nbsp;<br>Force also won last year\u2019s Winternationals, making the car a remarkable 12-0 in the last three Pomona races. The weekend belonged to Beckman, who won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge for the first time with two standout runs (on Saturday) and then made a series of passes in the 3.80s to reach Sunday\u2019s final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/pcfri-23-e1743485848372.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/pcfri-23-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6583\" width=\"506\" height=\"337\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Beckman_JFB-e1743486175880.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Beckman_JFB-e1743486166735-1024x850.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6589\" width=\"506\" height=\"420\"\/><\/a><figcaption><strong>Jack Beckman<\/strong> drove his Peak-sponsored Camaro to a milestone 300th win mark for John Force Racing!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>He defeated Jeff Diehl, Chad Green and Matt Hagan to reach the championship round. There wasn\u2019t another 3.80s in the fold, but after Wilkerson had trouble at the starting line, Beckman recovered and rolled to his first victory of the season and 36th in his career. It\u2019s also the first time he has led the points since 2020, as Beckman continues to perform at a high level since replacing Force following his crash in June.<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cThe car was amazing all weekend. We qualified fourth, but we got qualifying points every single round and ran 3.80s every round of eliminations until the final when the flawless part fell off a couple of hundred feet out and car shook the tires and knocked them loose,\u201d Beckman said. \u201cThat\u2019s where, as a driver, you&#8217;ve got to be ready to give one back to the team because they&#8217;d given me everything all weekend long.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cIt felt good to be able to pedal the thing and take it down there and have the car not blow up. It\u2019s pretty cool when they hand you a trophy, your car still intact, and get John Force Racing its 300th\u00a0Funny car win.\u201d<br>\u00a0<br>Wilkerson reached the final round for the second time in his career thanks to round wins against J.R. their 3rd schedule series race for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That event produced a first time series win for Hawaii&#8217;s Derrick Moreira who raced his car to victory over Shane Westerfield in a final round battle of Chevy Camaro-bodied machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreira, who had qualified #6 carved out the event win using a great start (.014 RT) to upset the event&#8217;s low qualifier &amp;
