There wasn\u2019t another 3.80s in the fold, but after Wilkerson had trouble at the starting line, Beckman recovered and rolled to his first victory of the season and 36th in his career. It\u2019s also the first time he has led the points since 2020, as Beckman continues to perform at a high level since replacing Force following his crash in June.

<\/a>The nitro nostalgia Legends Nitro Funny Car presented by Extreme Steel<\/strong> circuit was also on hand at Pomona providing an entertaining 8-car qualified field – their 3rd schedule series race for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That event produced a first time series win for Hawaii’s Derrick Moreira who raced his car to victory over Shane Westerfield in a final round battle of Chevy Camaro-bodied machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Moreira, who had qualified #6 carved out the event win using a great start (.014 RT) to upset the event’s low qualifier & Westerfield’s quicker and faster run — 4.774 secs 238.43 mph to 4.700 secs 239.10 mph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Moreira had taken the measure of Canada’s Tim Boychuk and Geoff Monise in the previous two rounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Westerfield’s #1 qualifying run of 4.660 secs stood up as low ET of the event & Tim Boychuk was credited with top speed at 245.17 mph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/a>
