{"id":6432,"date":"2024-11-18T23:37:32","date_gmt":"2024-11-18T23:37:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=6432"},"modified":"2024-11-19T02:41:34","modified_gmt":"2024-11-19T02:41:34","slug":"last-dance-to-fast-jack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=6432","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Last Dance&#8221; to \u201cFast Jack\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Jack Beckman closed out the 2024 season NHRA season with a thrilling Funny Car victory at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beckman outran John Force Racing teammate and world champion Austin Prock in the final round to close out the 59th annual In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the teammate versus teammate final round, Beckman went a career-best 3.812-secs at 327.35 mph in his PEAK Chevrolet Camaro SS to defeat Prock and pick up his second win of the season since taking over driving duties for John Force in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s been a magical ride for Beckman, a former world champion, who won his 35th career race on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6426\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF-259x173.jpg 259w, https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF-2048x1366.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF-1-e1731970427806.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Beckman_JF-1-e1731970418261-1024x946.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6431\" width=\"502\" height=\"464\"\/><\/a><figcaption><strong>&#8220;Fast Jack&#8221; Beckman<\/strong> collected his 2nd win of 2024 for the JFR and the 35th of his illustrious career.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To get to the final round on Sunday, Beckman knocked off Terry Haddock, Blake Alexander and Ron Capps, ensuring Prock and Force\/Beckman finished first and second in the loaded Funny Car ranks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt doesn&#8217;t get any higher than this,\u201d Beckman said. \u201cIt&#8217;s just magical at your home track. It&#8217;s special when it&#8217;s the Winternationals when the Winternationals was the first race of the year, but the Finals is finals, right? Whoever wins here gets a couple months to say we were the baddest on race day.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis season has just been just pinch-me moment after pinch-me moment. The way John went out was terrible, but he&#8217;s still with us, and I think he&#8217;s just as valuable standing on the starting line as he is strapped in the car at the starting line. Having John here doesn&#8217;t make us want to win more. We want to win every time we go out there. It just made winning that much more special.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Austin Prock<\/strong>, who had mathematically clinched the 2024 season championship by qualifying the day before, advanced to his 12th final round in his dazzling championship season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prock managed to put another explaination point on all this with a resounding performance to open eliminations when he sped to an unheard of and barrier breaking 341.68 mph!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prock_Action_RA-2048x1366-1-e1731970449930.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prock_Action_RA-2048x1366-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6425\" width=\"501\" height=\"334\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prock_JF-2-e1731970391853.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prock_JF-2-e1731970381631-676x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6429\" width=\"505\" height=\"765\"\/><\/a><figcaption>The all time fastest!  &#8212; courtesy of newly crowned World Champion <strong>Austin Prock<\/strong>!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>That terminal speed was the first ever official 340+ mph recorded and fastest ever in the sport &#8211; obviously drawing everyone in attendance attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m comfortable in this thing,\u201d Prock said. This is unreal to run 3.80 last night and go 341.68 today.
