{"id":492,"date":"2012-12-23T00:52:42","date_gmt":"2012-12-23T00:52:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=492"},"modified":"2012-12-23T01:04:42","modified_gmt":"2012-12-23T01:04:42","slug":"lesenko-worsham-align-for-next-chapter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=492","title":{"rendered":"Lesenko &#038; Worsham Align for Next Chapter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lesenko &amp; Worsham Align for Next Chapter<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Todd Lesenko will open the next chapter for his Funny Car racing career when qualifying begins for the O\u2019Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals at Pomona next February&#8230;.<!--more--><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Todd is pleased to\u00a0announce a renewed racing alliance with California-based Worsham Racing which rekindles that association.\u00a0\u00a0 Todd had previously raced on a limited basis during the 2011 NHRA Full Throttle season with Chuck Worsham after his graduation from the Nostalgia Funny Car ranks.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Initial plans for 2013 will see Todd driving a car equipped with a Dodge Charger body which is cladding a very fast and competitive chassis built at Worsham Racing byNew Zealand native Grant Downing.\u00a0Due to his thriving business in Canada (Fountain Tire chain of stores) Todd revealed that he will run a more compact NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing season schedule with 10-12 event outings currently on the radar.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/ToddChuck1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-495\" title=\"Todd&amp;Chuck\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/ToddChuck1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The just past 2012 NHRA Full Throttle season marked Todd\u2019s first full season on the NHRA tour and came as driver of the Jim Dunn Racing Funny Car.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome changes and the growth of my business in Canada will demand more of my attention,\u201d Todd revealed.\u00a0 \u201cBecause of that I was unable to make a full season commitment to Jim Dunn Racing.\u00a0 I really enjoyed my time last season with that race team.\u00a0 They taught me a lot about racing and the sport, and they treated me like part of their family.
