{"id":422,"date":"2012-10-09T13:49:14","date_gmt":"2012-10-09T13:49:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=422"},"modified":"2012-10-09T13:50:50","modified_gmt":"2012-10-09T13:50:50","slug":"strongest-showing-of-the-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=422","title":{"rendered":"Strongest Showing of the Season!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Strongest Showing of the Season!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>A first ever visit to Pennsylvania\u2019s scenic Maple Grove Raceway for Todd Lesenko marked a serious move forward for the Canadian driver and the rest of the Jim Dunn Racing team&#8230;.<!--more--><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Reading-Todd1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-423\" title=\"Reading-Todd1\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Reading-Todd1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"499\" height=\"313\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After a rather difficult non qualifying effort the previous weekend at St. Louis\u2013 the entire team rebounded with what was arguably its strongest event performance of the season during NHRA\u2019s Auto Plus Nationals.\u00a0\u00a0 Eliminations for that event were in fact completed on Monday (Oct. 8<sup>th<\/sup>) after Sunday rain showers deferred the event\u2019s conclusion.<\/p>\n<p>With valued sponsor the\u00a0Canidae Natural Pet Food Company being showcased primarily on their Dodge Stratus this weekend, Todd made three very strong runs during qualifying which included a career best \u00a04.125 secs at 299.00 mph.<\/p>\n<p>Todd then opened eliminations with a major victory when he upset the highly funded Snap-On Tools Toyota driven by Cruz Pedregon in round one.\u00a0 Todd left the starting line first and won with a 4.299 secs at 284.75 mph.<\/p>\n<p>In round two Todd raced for the first time in his career, drag racing\u2019s living legend \u2013 John Force.\u00a0 The pair left together however Todd\u2019s car then lost traction and Force\u2019s Castrol High Mileage Ford went on to the round win.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt St. Louis we were making good power but we then had some issues with keeping the front end on the ground &#8212; which made the car undriveable,\u201d Todd said.\u00a0 \u201cWe were able to better manage that here and the results were very positive for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The team which has been in action for 6 straight grueling weekends &#8212;
