{"id":314,"date":"2012-07-24T22:53:01","date_gmt":"2012-07-24T22:53:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=314"},"modified":"2012-07-25T22:11:12","modified_gmt":"2012-07-25T22:11:12","slug":"high-altitude-turbulence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/?p=314","title":{"rendered":"High Altitude Turbulence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>High Altitude Turbulence<!--more--><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a great time\u00a0at Mopar&#8217;s Big Block Party on Thursday evening &#8212; it was unfortunate times\u00a0for the Jim Dunn Racing team and driver Todd Lesenko the rest of the weekend\u00a0during the 33rd Mopar Mile-High Nationals held at Denver.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The race car was very finicky at the high altitude facility.\u00a0 Issues first\u00a0with\u00a0fuel delivery were then followed by problems with\u00a0clutch management.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Den-Todd5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-316\" title=\"Den-Todd5\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Den-Todd5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In all honesty, Todd&#8217;s final qualifying effort looked more\u00a0like he was\u00a0riding a Colorado &#8220;Bucking Bronco&#8221; in a rodeo\u00a0then driving a fuel FC.\u00a0 He did manhandle the car\u00a0to a very violent looking 5.088 secs at 176.53 mph.\u00a0\u00a0 But that ET was ultimately only good for #17 on the list &#8212;\u00a0the end result was that the\u00a0team did not qualify for the\u00a0very prestigous event which\u00a0is the first stop\u00a0for the gruelling 3-race annual NHRA Western Swing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We did our best but that wasn&#8217;t nearly good enough and I think we really embarrassed ourselves,&#8221;\u00a0 Todd said post race.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The team did have a follow-up\u00a03 hour meeting on Sunday night and the end result of all that\u00a0was that a new blower program,\u00a0clutch assembly and clutch discs have\u00a0been purchased to help to try to get things back on track at Sonoma this weekend and then\u00a0Seattle.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Due to the sponsorship schedule &#8212; the team will run the &#8220;Tap It&#8221; Chevrolet body at Sonoma and then the &#8220;Grime Boss&#8221; Dodge at Seattle&#8230;&#8230;..(BB)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>High Altitude Turbulence<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[4],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/314"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=314"}],"version-history":[{"count":5,"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/314\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":319,"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/314\/revisions\/319"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=314"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=314"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nitrofccanada.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=314"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
