\"\"<\/a>During our recent trip to Australia — we did have the privilege of attending our first Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car event – at premium facility Willowbank Raceway (located just west of Brisbane).<\/p>\n

We were very impressed by the people, the professionalism and the quality of racing which this independent Australian touring series produces.   We are going to do a separate post (coming soon<\/em>) with more information on the series and that will include some details on a world record fast run<\/em> we witnessed during our evening out with them.  But for now please check out some photo imagery from their Willowbank feature race (below).<\/p>\n

Jason Donnelly’s multi car DBS Racing Team includes two cars within the Outlaw FC series – driving is done by his sons Dan and Jake.<\/p><\/div>\n

New Zealand’s Morice McMillin plays many important roles for the circuit – in addition to being the Series Manager, and expert race car tuner, he also wheels the super popular “One Bad Kiwi” Firebird.<\/p><\/div>\n

On the evening we attended — we witnessed Rick Gauci run a world record quick ET of 5.37 secs at 271+ mph in the superbly prepped “Nitro Express” ’57 Chevy. (More details on that coming soon to NitroFCCanada.com!<\/em>)<\/p><\/div>\n

This super cool Ford Mustang “The Stormtrooper” is raced by Greg Leahy.<\/p><\/div>\n

Shane Olive drove the “Lets Boogie” Ford Mustang at Willowbank – just one of many of the circuit cars that are owned by series founder Graeme Cowin.<\/p><\/div>\n

The “Darkhorse” Mustang is ably driven by Paul Messineo.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Aeroflow Outlaw Funny Car Series does a truly great job with fan marketing and individual racer self promotion.<\/p><\/div>\n

John Leahy’s “The Bandit” Firebird (from New Zealand) is one of the series’ most potent race cars overall.<\/p><\/div>\n

“The Terminator” Chevy Camaro is campaigned by driver Justin Walshe.<\/p><\/div>\n

The very famous “LA Hooker” FC name continues on in Australia!   -The legendary Arrow driver is versatile Australian racer Anthony Begley.<\/p><\/div>\n

This series features some very cool efficiencies — with race car haulers collectively housing and transporting multiple race cars between some of the vast distances travelled within the continent.<\/p><\/div>\n
